Caring for Your Mohair
Responsibly crafted from the luxurious hair of the Angora goat, our extra-fine mohair is prized for its softness, warmth, and long-lasting durability, despite its delicate look. With proper care, your mohair piece can last a lifetime.
Storage:
Keep your mohair in a cool, dry, and dark environment. Avoid plastic storage, as the natural fibers need room to breathe.
Everyday Care:
To maintain its natural fluff and prevent tangling, gently brush your scarf or throw in the direction of the nap using a firm-bristled clothes brush.
Restoring Shape:
If your mohair loses volume or appears flattened, lightly steam it from a distance of about six inches using a kettle or iron to revive its pile.
Cleaning Tips:
Thanks to its anti-static nature, mohair repels dust and dirt. For spills such as juice or coffee, spot clean promptly with a mild detergent or baby shampoo. For spirits or alcohol stains, dab gently with pure alcohol and allow it to air dry flat.
For Deep Cleaning:
If your piece requires a more thorough cleaning, we recommend taking it to a trusted professional dry cleaner experienced with fine fibers
